SCHOOL GRADUATES' VIEWS ON THE MEANING OF LIFE AND PSYCHOLOGICAL READINESS FOR SERVICE IN THE ARMED FORCES

The processes of modernization the education system are directly caused by the need to meet the challenges of reforming the economy and state policy. The social order of society for the preparation of socially adapted, spiritually oriented, independent, capable of self-organization and further improvement creates essential prerequisites for a deeper analysis of the seemingly already established correlation of the concepts of “personality” and “life orientations” in the education system. The research employed terminological analysis of scientific categories, level differentiation, system - structural analysis; historical and psychological methods (review of literature on the research topic, methods of psychological counseling). Empirical methods included: observation of 11th-grade students, interviews, observation records, questionnaires for graduates, and statistical methods. For the experimental study, 100 respondents were selected from among 11th-grade students. The analysis of the obtained data allowed for the identification of the spectrum of high school graduates' views on the meaning of life. The findings revealed an insufficient development of the meaning-making sphere of the individual, indicating the need for attention from educators and psychologists. This research contributes to the body of knowledge on personal values in situations of choice and outlines types of corrective work aimed at forming meaning-of-life orientations. The results can be applied in the practical work of psychologists with high school graduates, conscripts, and university applicants. The article was developed as part of a scientific study on the topic of the program: IRN BR 249015/0224 «Creation of an innovative integrated product in the drone industry using advanced artificial intelligence technologies».
