Foreign experience in the formation of historical consciousness of cadets based on national values in military educational institutions

The article presents the results of a comparative analysis aimed at forming the historical consciousness of future officers in foreign higher military educational institutions. The countries of the USA, Japan and China were chosen as the object of studying foreign experience. The factors of the choice of these countries for studying the problem of the formation of historical consciousness of future officers in the process of educational and ideological work are highlighted. The study also showed that the formation of historical consciousness during the training of officers in these countries is carried out systematically, closely organized and purposefully by two subsystems, that is, the training system and the education system. The results of the study allow us to study the advanced foreign experience in the formation of historical consciousness. This can be the basis for improving the process of educational and ideological work in order to form the historical consciousness of future officers in military and special educational institutions of Kazakhstan.
