METHODS OF USING FPV DRONES IN MODERN COMBAT OPERATIONS

Abstract

This article examines the main tactical methods of employing FPV drones in modern armed conflicts, which serve as a key factor in transforming tactical units on the battlefield. Furthermore, the role and position of FPV drones within the context of firepower assets, reconnaissance, and assault units are analyzed, as well as their impact on the nature of positional and maneuver warfare. In addition, the article details the primary forms and methods of combat employment of FPV quadcopters in various combat conditions, including open-field battlefields, urban environments, and the tactical depth of defensive formations. The focus is also directed toward the organizational and tactical aspects of integrating unmanned systems into the structure of combined-arms units, highlighting their strengths and weaknesses. Analysis of FPV drone deployment shows that these copters have become an independent tactical asset that fundamentally changes the principles of small-unit operations in combat.
