Abstract
The treatise «The Art of War» by the Chinese thinker and commander Sun Tzu, who lived
in the 6th century BC. containing very actionable advice for military leadership, is a collection of

the most advanced thoughts on the conduct of military operations, occupies a special place in
modern world culture. The presented article assesses the historical significance of Sun Tzu's
teachings, analyzes the possibilities of using the conclusions made by the scientific thinker in
modern military operations, ensuring the security of the state, and the process of communication
in society.
