This article discusses the development of a distributed fiber-optic security system for restricted access objects and other objects of state significance against unauthorized access. The analysis of existing systems developed by foreign scientists is given. It is proposed to consider the scheme of a passive perimeter security system, which uses optical fiber as the main element. The principle of operation of a distributed fiber-optic security system is based on the method of controlling the amount of additional losses during mechanical action on the optical fiber for conducting full-scale experiments to test the design of the security system. The results of the study suggest the prospect of reducing the cost of the fiber-optic security system due to new hardware and software methods for processing data received from sensors, this will also increase the length of the fiber-optic security system and increase their reliability indicators.
