The article deals with the use of quadrocopters for fire control of artillery units in the conditions of modern combat. The advantages of using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of this type are described, such as high manoeuvrability, ease of operation, low cost and the possibility of obtaining reconnaissance data. Quadrocopters allow for real-time fire correction, which significantly improves the accuracy of artillery units' fire. Particular attention is paid to the organisation of interaction between UAV units and artillery units, different ways of target designation and the procedure of UAV operator's actions when performing firing tasks are described.
